The Rev. Dr. Anthony M. "Tony" Bennett is a native of Buffalo, New York. Upon graduation from high school, Pastor Bennett joined the Navy and served eight years on active duty. His honorable military service includes service in California, the Persian Gulf, and the Office of the Secretary of Defense in the Pentagon.
Following his active duty service in the US Navy, Pastor Bennett served two years in the Maryland Army National Guard. During this same period he began his civil service career working for the Department of Defense and is currently employed as a Deputy Program Manager at the Pentagon.Pastor Bennett is also an adjunct professor at the University of Phoenix School of Graduate Business and Management.
Pastor Bennett is very active in the community. His community involvement includes faithful service to the church; service as a mentor and counselor in the county jail; volunteerism in health and human service organizations; and nine years as an elected member of the local homeowner association. Pastor Bennett's formal education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Human Resource Management; a Master’s Degree in Public Administration; and a Doctor of Management in Organizational Leadership degree. Pastor Bennett is the proud and loving husband of First Lady Pamela Faye Carter Bennett of Portsmouth, Virginia.
